A Special Invitation...
Dear PMPA Members and Industry Colleagues:
Our industry's trade association, the PMPA, was formed in the Great Depression at a time when manufacturing companies just like ours knew that collectively they were much stronger than going it alone. Companies worked together to meet the challenges of the day despite the hurdles in front of them.
This past year during my tenure as PMPA President, I toured many of your shops and saw firsthand at meetings, as well as via the PMPA email listserves, how members are willing to assist one another with that same "can-do" spirit that has allowed our association to thrive in uncertain economic times. I would like to thank you for supporting the PMPA and its mission during my term as President of the association.
Please accept this invitation and join me October 15th - 19th at the PMPA Annual Meeting in Rancho Mirage, (Palm Springs) California. During this meeting we'll have a chance to discuss the newest round of challenges facing our industry and what proactive steps we'll need to take to remain productive and profitable.
We have a tremendous line-up of speakers with insight into economic forecasting, global business, politics, government regulation, investment strategies and contract law. Each speaker has been selected based on their extensive knowledge and familiarity with our industry. In addition to the education sessions, we'll enjoy plenty of time to unwind and recharge our batteries during the networking events. Often times the unstructured parts of the program can offer the best value of being at the Annual Meeting, with ample opportunity to talk with other shop owners, senior managers or valued suppliers about important business matters.
If you have any questions about this year's program, please don't hesitate to call Rob Kiener or Renee Merker at PMPA Headquarters: (440) 526-0300 - they will be happy to assist you with any concerns.
I look forward to seeing you in Palm Springs for the 2010 Annual Meeting where we'll reconnect and prepare our plans for the upcoming year!
Cordially,

James Wrenn, PMPA President 2009-2010
President, Hudson Precision Products Company, Broadview, IL
